We have a few things coming up in the next few weeks that we wanted to let you know about.

The children will be competing in long distance, sprints, high jump, long jump and vortex throwing. Please come along a help out and support your child/ children. You may take them home afterward but let the bus driver know if they will not be on the bus.
Random Acts of Kindness

I was really impressed with the choices the children made and are excited to see their faces and listen to how they feel when they complete their random act of kindness.
You can help out by donating a dog toy for us to take to the SPCA . We will make and wrap the cookies together at school.
Random Act of Kindness trip will be on Friday the 8th of March . Rose and I will drive the children into town in two cars and return in time for the bus.
Working Bee

Sunday the 10th of March 3pm-5pm with drinks and sausages on the bbq after.
We will need weedeaters, hedge-cutters, sprayers, roundup or similar to kill blackberry, wheelbarrows, slashers etc.
I will send home a notice to see how many people we can get to come along as It isn’t fair if only a couple turn up. If we need to change the date we can do that as well.
B.O.T
We would like to invite you to come along and see what is involved in a Board meeting. We have our elections coming up soon and will be looking for some new faces to add to our hard-working team.
The next meeting is March the 13th at 6.30pm in the staffroom.
Chickens
Yesterday we discovered a new baby chick in our coop. The children have named it ‘Diamond’. There are also more eggs that could hatch so we are very excited.
Teaching and Learning
We are well on our way through our terms work already. The children have all had reading assessments completed and I am proud to say that ALL children have gone up levels. Some have moved up 3 levels, which shows me that they have been reading at home.
Music lessons are progressing and the students are learning the ukelele this term as well as some really fun Indian dance moves.
